PENSIONER HOUSING
Council owns and operates elderly persons housing, comprising 28 units, 22 in Otorohanga, 6 at Kawhia.
Otorohanga
• 13 bed-sitter (single) and 9 double (separate bedroom) units.
Kawhia
• 6 x 1 bedroom units.

OTOROHANGA MEMORIAL POOL COMPLEX
The Otorohanga Memorial Pool Complex is situated on the corner of Domain Drive and Kakamutu Road and consists of a 33.5m cold outdoor pool, children’s pool and toddlers’ pool and a 20m
indoor heated pool. Phone 07 873 8646.

REFUSE DISPOSAL & RECYCLING
A weekly bag collection system is provided in each of the Otorohanga, Kawhia and Aotea communities.
Refuse is collected in official bags which can be purchased from local stores.
In conjunction with this collection a free kerbside
recyclables collection operates. Recyclables collected
are aluminium and tin cans, glass, paper, cardboard and
plastics 1 and 2 .

Statutory Holidays:
If a collection day falls on a statutory holiday the collection will be on the first working day after the holiday.
