PARKING CONTROL

Council operates parking restrictions within Taupo with such restrictions being con-trolled by Parking Wardens who patrol the main commercial area.
While all of the Taupo commercial area is restricted to P150, P120, P60 or less there are designated all day parking areas located in Heuheu Street and Tuwharetoa Street.

All sites closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.
Broadlands Road Landfill
Hours: 1 September - 30 April, Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm, weekends and holidays 8am - 6pm; 1 May - 31 August, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, weekends and holidays 8am - 5.30pm.
Turangi Refuse Transfer Station
Hours: 1 September - 30 April, Monday - Sunday (including public holidays) 8am - 5.30pm; 1 May - 31 August, Monday – Sunday (including public holidays), 8am - 4.30pm.
Kinloch Refuse Transfer Station
Hours: 1 October - 30 April, closed Monday, Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 3pm. Peak summer from third week of December until second week of January (3 weeks), open all days 10.30am - 4.30pm; 1 May - 30 September, closed Monday - Friday 11am - 1pm; weekends 11am - 3pm.
Mangakino Refuse Transfer Station
Hours: Monday - Friday, including public holidays 12.30 - 4pm; weekends 8am - 12 noon and 12.30 - 4pm; closed

Omori/Kuratau Refuse Transfer Station

Whareroa Refuse Transfer Station
Hours: 1 June - 31 August, Sunday and public holidays 11am - 3pm. 1 September - 31 May, Wednesday, Sundays, public holidays 11am - 3pm. Peak summer Monday - Sunday from third week of December until second week in January 11am - 3pm.
